He’s very important in the sense that when he makes an appearance he draws attention to the issue of dog fighting. But I could talk until I am blue in the face about humane issues and it would not have near the impact of Vick making an appearance.
Not worrying about if Vick is sorry or not frees us from wondering if he is sincere…who cares? Draw attention to the problem, not the man.

One of my favorite humane educators reminded me recently that humane treatment begins with treating other people humanely.

I do not wish the worse for Vick…I wish him the best. The more successful he is, the more he can again, bring attention to the horrors of dogfighting.

I am afraid it would take too many gigabytes of storage to discuss all the other moral challenges of our professional athletes, but they, reflect society. They just happen to be in the spotlight.

Sorry?? Only that he got caught. Had he not he would still be doing what he was in the first place. I have no compassion for him & wish him nothing but the WORST!

i personally love animals, especially dogs but what i want to know is why this is getting so much play when there are other sports personalities who shoot other people, themselves and get DUI’s and charged with drug possession! although it is absolutely deplorable what he has done why dont we focus on ALL athletes that hurt others-not just cute animals
