We spent a year looking, was on several shelter/rescue groups adoption list, and finally found our dog at Animal Control in Atlanta, GA. My husband caught a "red-eye" and flew to GA to adopt the dog, who had already spent 7 weeks in the shelter. We could have bought a Bearded Collie from a breeder for less than we paid in airfare, etc. But saving a life was much more important to us, and to our dog!
