Kitten season is still in full swing in Sonoma County. Hundreds of kittens flood shelters and while many get adopted, many stay in shelters to become “last year’s” kittens.
Did you know there is actually a kitten season? Animal control officials say it coincides with the warmer weather. So if there is a warm spring, kitten season can start early and ditto for a warm fall, more kittens into the fall.
The Rohnert Park Animal Shelter is stepping up this weekend with a kitten sale. If you adopt one kitten, the second will be half-priced.
