If you want to add a new family member, an event this weekend might be worthy of attending.
Ten area animal shelters and rescue organizations are joining forces Saturday for an adopt-a-thon, in the hopes of getting more homes for pets in need.
The event is set for the Airport Cinemas on Aviation Blvd.in Santa Rosa, July 18th from 11am to 4 pm.
Adoptable dogs, cats, kittens and guinea pigs will be present. And each adopter will receive two free movie passes. The event coincides with the opening of “G-Force” a movie about guinea pigs who double as secret agents.
For those really into the fun, there will be an “Undercover Dog Agent” costume contest where people can bring their dogs dressed up expressing their inner James Bond.
