Declaw, debark ban

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has before him, legislation that would impose a ban on landlords being able to demand that tenant’s cats be declawed and dogs debarked, as a condition of renting.

Declawing cats, docking tails, where does it end?

Perhaps a better approach might be to encourage the California Veterinary Medical Association to take more of a lead on this and advocate against medical procedures that have more to do with aesthetics than common sense.
