I am so used to seeing such a wide variety of canines that the only thing that still takes me aback, is a fully intact, mature, muscled un-neutered male dog. I mean I can see the “boys.”

Rain….humans find it cleansing. Dogs find it akin to acid. That’s the only reason I can find why normally stalwart, tough dogs melt at the prospect of doing their business when it’s raining.

The training for the
Gran Fondo is going well. A friend finished 72 miles today…me? I think I will go for a walk with my dogs.

We had to make sure we parked near grass so the dogs could get out to potty without burning the pads of their feet.

You must take it slowly over Mt. St. Helena, which we did, in order to avoid crashes, barfing teens and barfing dogs. All survived.

The only thing I remember from one trip was watching our dog, Yvette, named after a French film star, barfing Spam somewhere in Utah.
