Update: To rooster or not to rooster

Which brings me to another question, why do roosters feel the need to holler during the day? I assume it’s calling to the girls or claiming territory.

Yeah, that rooster was nasty, pecking the heck out of him and drawing blood. I envisioned a scene of a barnyard “Birds” movie.
